About Me – Your Course Leader
I have practiced ACT for about 12 years, learning from Steven C. Hayes, the founder of this transformative approach, and other leading ACT authors and teachers.
I started my academic career later in life, earning a law degree, a BA in Government and Politics, and a degree in Social Work, with postgraduate work in psychiatry.
However, my true passion lies in working directly with clients, not in academia.

I have run my private practice since 2012, working in various settings, including a psychiatric ward for acute psychosis and substance abuse, where I taught ACT skills to patients.
I also integrated ACT into a therapeutic community programme for adolescents with addiction issues and served as the primary ACT therapist at the Priory Hospital in London.
In addition to my ACT focus, I am trauma-informed, a certified CBT therapist, and trained in EMDR.
I have provided supervision for the past 10 years, intensifying my focus on it in the last six months.
